Cypriot state apparatus: 53,080 employees in August 2026
Cyprus's state civil service counted a total of 53,080 employees in August 2026, an increase of 419 persons (0.8%) compared to the previous year. Employment in education and security forces increased by 2.2%, while employment in the civil authority declined by 1%. The statistical figures were published by the Statistical Authority (Cystat).
