Cypriot author Alex Michaelides achieved international success with his debut novel 'The Silent Patient'. The work was selected by the New York Times Book Review among the 50 best thrillers of the 21st century, ranking 36th. The selection was made following consultation with crime writers, publishers, booksellers, and readers.
