Cyprus Agrees on Repayment Plan for 245 Million Euro Social Insurance Debt
The Cypriot government and parliamentary parties reached a last-minute compromise for repaying 245 million euros in outstanding social insurance contributions. Labour Minister Moushouttas saved the repayment law from unconstitutional amendments. The new repayment scheme is expected to start later this month.
