Cyprus among countries with highest climate change risk
According to the Lancet Countdown Europe 2026 report, Cyprus is among the regions with the largest increase in heat-related mortality risk. The country is classified as highly vulnerable to the spread of mosquito-borne diseases and to allergy crises caused by dust. Climate change poses significant health risks to the Cypriot population.
