Cyprus Among Lowest EU Countries for Renewable Energy
The share of renewable energy sources in Cyprus's gross electricity supply reached only 27.5 percent in 2025, placing it among the lowest in the EU. Only Malta (11.2%), Czechia (19.2%), Luxembourg (23.3%), and Slovakia (24.1%) rank lower. The EU average stands at 50 percent.
