Cyprus and Egypt sign framework agreement for natural gas sales
The Republic of Cyprus and Egypt today signed a framework agreement in Cairo for the development of natural gas deposits in the Cypriot EEZ. The agreement covers the development of the 'Kronos' and 'Aphrodite' gas fields and was signed on the sidelines of the EGYPES 2026 conference by the energy ministers of both countries. President Nikos Christodoulidis and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi were present at the signing.
