Cyprus Armed Forces Equipped with Reinforced Air Fleet Against Wildfires
The Cypriot National Guard enters the 2026 fire protection season with its strongest air fleet in recent years. The strategy to strengthen firefighting efforts, which was initiated in early 2025, is already showing positive results. With 14 aircraft in operation, the state is, according to its own statement, prepared for wildfire suppression.
