Cyprus banks record growth in deposits and lending
Cyprus's central bank reported a net increase of 171.5 million euros in deposits and 114.6 million euros in lending in August 2026. Total deposit volume reached 59.3 billion euros, while loans rose to 28.5 billion euros. Deposits continued their growth trend, although the net change compared to the previous month declined.
