Cyprus Becomes EU Pilot Site for Mosquito Control
A pilot program in Larnaca shows promising results in combating the dangerous Aedes aegypti mosquito through the release of sterilized male mosquitoes. The laboratory will be set up in Larnaca to control the spread of Zika, Chikungunya, and dengue fever in Europe. The successful experiment paves the way for larger-scale implementation.
