Cyprus Calls for Rescue Assistance - Turan Erçiourmans' Refusal
The Republic of Cyprus turned to the United Nations and the Bicommunal Commission following a shipping accident off occupied Kyrenia with a request for rescue assistance. Turkish representative Turan Erçiourmans did not respond to messages and calls. President Nikos Christodoulides, however, deployed his own assistance resources to support rescue efforts.
