Cyprus Central Bank lowers growth forecasts due to Middle East crisis
The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) has lowered its growth forecasts for the Cypriot economy for 2026 and 2027 due to the effects of the war in the Middle East. In its June 2026 economic report, the CBC now expects GDP growth of 2.5 percent, with risks continuing to be directed downward.
