Cyprus Commemorates Armenian Genocide and Calls for International Recognition
The Cypriot Parliament called on Thursday for international recognition of the Armenian genocide on the 111th anniversary of this historical tragedy. Parliament President Annita Demetriou pointed to Turkey's continued denial and criticized the fact that Turkey not only does not recognize the genocide but also continues its expansionist policy.
