Cyprus Conducts First Nationwide Evacuation Drill
The civil protection authority conducted the first island-wide evacuation drill for forest fire disasters in the Paphos province. The municipality of Koili was evacuated according to the drill scenario. Such exercises are to be repeated regularly in each province starting in May 2026 to improve emergency preparedness.
