Cyprus Current Account Deficit Decreases Year-on-Year
Cyprus recorded a current account deficit of 0.8 billion euros in the fourth quarter of 2025, which has improved compared to the previous year, though it worsened compared to the third quarter. The deficit rose from 0.10 billion euros in the third quarter to 0.8 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, indicating growing external imbalances. Despite this quarterly deterioration, long-term trends show a positive development in Cyprus's balance of payments position.
