Cyprus current account deficit doubles to €1.31 billion
Cyprus's current account deficit nearly doubled in Q2 2026, rising from €697.2 million in the same quarter of the previous year to €1.31 billion. This is according to preliminary data from the Central Bank of Cyprus. Despite the increased deficit, Cyprus's external net debt position improved.
