Cyprus: Deterrence Capability as Defense Priority
President Nikos Christodoulides has declared strengthening Cyprus's deterrence capability as the top priority. At a meeting with Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias ahead of the military parade marking Independence Day, Christodoulides highlights increased defense spending and modernization efforts of the National Guard. Strengthening defense capabilities remains a central concern of Cypriot leadership.
