Cyprus drastically cuts migration subsidy spending
Migration subsidy spending has fallen from 49 million euros to approximately 12 million euros, according to deputy migration minister Nikolaos Ioanidis. The official reported to the oversight committee that the situation in the migration sector has fundamentally changed, including a significant decline in illegal entries. A new digital system will be introduced from 2027.
