Cyprus ends borrowing from pension fund and starts €12 billion repayment
The Cypriot Ministry of Labour announced it will end borrowing from the social insurance fund and begin repaying an estimated 12 billion euros. Labour Minister Marinos Mousiouttas presented this as a fundamental shift in state financing of pensions, speaking to stakeholders and union representatives at a conference of the Labour Advisory Board.
