Cyprus Establishes National Ambulance Authority by Law
The Cypriot Parliament passed legislation to establish a national ambulance authority. Despite initial concerns from parties about whether the service should instead be integrated into an independent authority or a unified crisis management body, all parties ultimately agreed. Non-urgent and planned cases will in future be handled by the private sector.
