Cyprus expects increased rainfall through mid-April
The World Meteorological Organization forecasts above-average rainfall for the eastern Mediterranean region, including Cyprus, through April 14, 2026. Cyprus has already received 20 millimeters of additional precipitation above average. However, the Cypriot Meteorological Service warns that the island's water reserves remain under serious pressure despite these rainfall increases due to years of drought.
