Cyprus finances restoration of damaged church in Gaza
Cyprus is providing 150,000 euros for the reconstruction of the historic Church of Saint Porphyrius in Gaza, which was partially destroyed during Israeli bombardments in October 2023. The Greek Orthodox church was hit on October 19, 2023, while hundreds of Palestinians had taken shelter on the church grounds. The attack killed at least 18 people.
