Cyprus has one of the lowest shares of young teachers in the EU
According to Eurostat data from 2024, Cyprus is among the EU member states with the lowest proportion of teachers under 30 years of age. Only 3.1 percent of Cypriot teachers are under 30 years old – fewer only than Portugal (3.3%) and Poland (4%). The EU average stands at 5.3 million teachers in total.
