Cyprus: Hospital infection rate double EU average
According to data from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the infection rate in Cypriot hospitals stands at 13.8% – almost double the EU average. This means that nearly 14% of patients develop at least one hospital-acquired infection during their hospital stay.
