Cyprus Implements New Framework for Foreclosures
The Cypriot out-of-court dispute resolution authority is working on implementing new laws on foreclosures that President Nikos Christodoulides signed. Parliament passed twelve corresponding bills in April, with the first tranche already ratified. The new regulations are intended to provide borrowers with additional instruments and were developed with the participation of the IMF.
