Cyprus Introduces New Payment System Without IBAN - Mobile Launch Q1 2027
Cyprus plans to introduce a new instant payment system that will allow bank customers to transfer money to other bank customers using only a mobile phone number - without requiring an IBAN. The system, developed by JCC Payments and the Association of Cypriot Banks, is scheduled to go live in the first quarter of 2027.
