Cyprus invests 400,000 euros to recruit sports teams
Cyprus launches a four-year program (2026-2029) with a budget of 400,000 euros per year to attract foreign sports teams to train on the island. The program offers additional financial incentives for winter training camps, preferred sports, as well as stays in mountain and rural areas. This initiative is part of a broader tourism incentive package approved by the cabinet the previous week.
