Cyprus Issues Residence Permits Five Times Higher Than EU Average
According to the latest Eurostat data for 2025, Cyprus ranks among the highest EU countries in issuing residence permits to third-country nationals. EU countries issued approximately 3.9 million new residence permits to non-EU citizens in total, marking the highest level since records began. Cyprus significantly exceeds the average rate compared to other EU member states.
