Cyprus: Net Immigration Country, No Brain Drain of Skilled Workers
Contrary to common assumptions, data shows that Cyprus is rather an immigration country in 2024. With 40,471 immigrants compared to 26,883 emigrants, the overall migration balance is positive. The emigration of Cypriots is also declining: it fell from 2,663 persons (2016) to 1,052 (2023).
