Cyprus: Patients wait over 500 days for new medicines
Patients in Cyprus must wait an average of more than 500 days to gain access to new medicines – one of the longest waiting times in Europe. Official representatives warn that the European Union is falling behind global competitors in pharmaceutical progress and drug accessibility. The warning was issued during a conference in Nicosia on "Unleashing the potential of European biosciences".
