Cyprus Pays Over 12.7 Million Euros in Foot-and-Mouth Disease Compensation
The Cypriot government has paid out over 12.755 million euros to livestock breeders affected by the foot-and-mouth disease epidemic. According to the Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, 80,133 animals have been culled to date. Parliament's Agriculture Committee reviewed measures to contain the disease.
