Cyprus Plans Defense Budget of 2% of GDP
Two DISY MPs have submitted a bill to parliament that would set defense spending at a minimum of 2% of gross domestic product. The draft, titled "Law on National Strategic Defense Stabilization of the Republic of Cyprus 2026," also provides for a five-year arms procurement program and aims at stable financing of the National Guard.
