Cyprus plans money transfers via mobile number from 2027
Cyprus is preparing a new interbank payment service that will allow customers to transfer money using only the recipient's mobile phone number. The service is scheduled to be introduced in the first quarter of 2027, with plans to be finalized in early September when JCC Payments holds its first substantive meeting.
