Cyprus power grid can handle summer peak demand
The transmission system operator states that Cyprus's electricity supply can handle the surge in demand triggered by extreme heat, provided there are no generation facility failures. On Monday, demand reached 1,156 megawatts at peak time, and continuous operation under high temperatures poses risks.
