Cyprus Presents €610 Million Plan for Livestock Regeneration
The government unveiled a twelve-year plan worth approximately €610.9 million to restore the livestock farming sector following the foot-and-mouth disease epidemic outbreak, which resulted in the culling of more than 84,000 animals. The scientific committee led by Stavros Malas presented its proposals at the Presidential Palace before stakeholders. The program aims to stabilize and strengthen the sector long-term.
