Cyprus Question Remains Open After UN Secretary-General's Visit
The visit of UN Secretary-General António Guterres to Cyprus kept prospects for resolving the Cyprus problem alive, but did not produce the hoped-for breakthrough result. Guterres held talks with all involved parties and contacted relevant actors outside Cyprus. While optimism regarding a breakthrough has diminished, hope for future negotiations at least remained.
