Cyprus raises minimum age for social media to 15 years
President Nikos Christodoulides announced new protective measures for minors on social media and set the minimum age for creating social media accounts at 15 years. The measure aims at better child protection, strengthening families, and stricter platform control. Cyprus is following European trends in regulating social media use by teenagers.
