Cyprus Records 10,000 Cases of Gender-Based Violence in Five Years
Justice Minister Costas Fytiris informed the parliamentary human rights committee that Cyprus recorded 10,000 cases of violence against women and domestic violence over the last five years, of which 7,000 were tried in court. A new prevention app called 'Red Flag' is being developed and is expected to be operational by year's end.
