Cyprus records 2025 budget surplus of 1.24 billion euros
Cyprus recorded a budget surplus of 1.24 billion euros in 2025, equivalent to 3.4 percent of GDP. Public debt fell to 20.08 billion euros or 55 percent of GDP. These results were verified by the Cypriot statistics authority (Cystat) and confirmed as part of the EU deficit procedure.
