Cyprus records founding boom with over 9,000 new businesses
In 2024, 9,152 new businesses were founded in Cyprus, while 5,566 companies closed, according to Eurostat data. This results in a founding rate of 9.70 percent compared to a closure rate of 5.90 percent. The figures show that new business formations significantly outweigh closures.
