Cyprus Records Sharp Increase in Fuel Prices
Cyprus is among EU countries with the highest annual fuel price increases. In June 2026, the year-on-year increase was 18.6 percent, placing the island significantly above the EU average. Only Bulgaria (26 percent) and a few other countries recorded higher increases. Cyprus was one of only two EU member states, along with Italy, to experience monthly petrol price increases in June.
