According to the annual report of Deputy Minister for Migration and International Protection Nikolas Ioannidis, Cyprus recorded a sharp decline in irregular migrant entries and asylum applications in 2025. The government strategy aims to create a "fair, effective and modern migration management system" that protects social cohesion and supports economic growth.
