Cyprus Reports 14 West Nile Virus Cases Due to Mosquito Plagues
Persistently high temperatures and recent rainfall have created ideal conditions for mosquito breeding throughout Cyprus, while monitoring shows their populations have increased over the last three years. Health authorities warn that Cyprus has already registered 14 cases of West Nile Virus, transmitted by Culex mosquitoes, this year.
