Cyprus: Savings interest rates fall, mortgages and business loans become more expensive
Average interest rates for savings deposits fell to 1.27% in July 2026, while interest rates for new mortgages rose to 3.24% and for business loans up to 1 million euros to 4.51%. The opposing interest rate trends burden savers and increase credit loads for households and businesses.
