Cyprus Spends More on Teachers, Student Performance Remains Weak
Cyprus invests disproportionately in its education system with 13.2 percent of public expenditure, well above the EU average of 9.7 percent. Despite these high expenditures, Cypriot students continue to perform weaker in international tests than the average in Europe, according to data from the European Commission and the OECD.
