Cyprus' State Debt Falls to 50% of GDP
Finance Minister Makis Keravnos announced that Cyprus' state debt will decline to approximately 50% of gross domestic product by the end of 2026 – one of the largest reductions in the European Union. The minister expressed optimism that the Cypriot economy will navigate internationally challenging times, and made this announcement at the 16th Nicosia Economic Congress.
