Cyprus strips asylum from 95 persons, predominantly Syrians, in migration campaign
The Cyprus Asylum Service has recently stripped asylum from 95 persons, of whom 80 are Syrian nationals, on the orders of Deputy Migration Minister Nicholas A. Ioannides. In addition, more than 2,000 asylum applications from Syrians have been rejected, and initial forced deportations are expected shortly.
