Cyprus Struggles with Cost of Living Crisis
Surveys show that the affordability crisis represents the most pressing issue for Cypriot households. Many citizens cannot manage daily living costs and doubt they will be able to maintain their standard of living after retirement. Young people in particular report difficulties affording adequate housing, as property prices have risen sharply since February 2026.
