Cyprus Targets Complete Seawater Desalination by 2029
Cyprus plans a complete transition to seawater desalination by 2029 to end its dependence on rainfall. Dam levels have fallen to 32.7% of capacity (95.1 million cubic meters total), but show improvement compared to the previous year of 33.9%. Despite the slight improvement, authorities continue to warn about water conservation as the situation is not yet resolved.
