Cyprus Theater Stages Translations on Colonialism
The Cyprus Theatre Organisation is performing Brian Friel's drama Translations on its main stage in Nicosia. The production, directed and newly translated by Irish-Cypriot theater director Patrick Myles, combines the original 1980 work with Cyprus's own history of division and ongoing foreign military presence.
