Cyprus tourism sector shows recovery despite declines
In August 2026, Cyprus recorded a 3.3 percent decrease in tourist arrivals compared to the previous year (581,880 instead of 602,026 arrivals). Compared to August 2024, however, arrivals show an increase of 4.9 percent. Weakness in British, Polish, and German markets was partially offset by significantly increased arrivals from Israel, which reduced the decline in the eighth month of the year to a total of 7 percent.
